Simply put, our passion is providing exceptional quality care and education for each child, infants to school age, in our home-away-from-home environment. It’s our philosophy that your child will learn and develop socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually in a fun, multi-age environment. Our programs are designed to give your child the tools to become self-confident, self-aware and eager to learn, grow, explore and imagine. They are designed to prepare your child with confidence for the next step in your child's life journey.
We recognize that curriculum is more than what appears in manuals or a series of activities. We believe curriculum is everything that happens in the classroom, from interactions and meals to singing and playing. We never miss an opportunity to open the door to the world and educate, in the classroom or on one of our fun field trips.
Each child is offered an environment rich with age-appropriate activities. This includes: indoor/outdoor play, early literacy, Spanish class, artwork, music and movement, cooking, dramatic play, science, water play and many hands on experiences. A group activity is scheduled each day, and the children are invited to participate. Other activities may include story time, free play, field trips, snack/meal times and quiet or nap time (approx. 12:00 – 3:00). We do not have any daily religious practices, however, each child’s cultural or religious background will be respected in daily activities.
Each child is offered individual attention each day, as well as lots of attention as part of the group. Television viewing is reserved for occasional learning experiences. But, outdoor play is an important part of our day when weather permits. Children too young to take part in specific activities will be kept nearby (safely), so that they can feel part of the group. In addition to meeting their basic needs, infants will be offered changes in environment, such as a swing, buzzy seat, being held, carried in a Snuggli, etc. Schedules are set according to children’s needs.
We also believe eating healthy and learning proper nutrition is an important part of your child's development that's why we provide natural, organic and sustainable foods as much as possible for snacks and meals. We are also experienced in making children with various food allergies feel part of the group.
