The Fireflies® program, which is our preschool curriculum for children ages 2 years plus, consists of month long learning and activities centered around three themes which change monthly and reinforce targeted learning goals and objectives. Our teachers are now also utilitizing the Fireflies® themes and activities for children ages 4 months - 24 months and tailoring them to meet the needs of that age group, as well as on an individual basis.
May Flowers - We will prepare for summer with caterpillar, butterfly, gardening, and flower games and activities. “May Flowers” also includes a Mother’s Day celebration.
A to Z Animals - A variety of animal activities and wild creative art projects take place in this theme. Fun facts and information are included about animals that live around the world. Children will learn what animals need to stay healthy and happy.
Friendly Monsters - Focus on children’s fears and how to conquer them with this theme! We’ll stress that monsters the children may see in books or on television are just pretend. Monsters can be scary in a child’s mind, but they can also be imaginary, make-believe pals!
