We have structured our program to meet the needs of children from the ages of 6 months to 5 years, preparing them for kindergarten and beyond. In order to provide this level of excellence, we use the Fireflies® Preschool Curriculum, a flexible, open-ended program that insures development appropriateness for your child. Our learning material promotes skills and discipline, inspires creativity, encourages flexibility, and provides for emotional release.

Fireflies® Preschool and Day Care Program
The Fireflies curriculum is a child care program containing educational activities built around seven developmental domains:

Fireflies is based on extensive evidence from researchers such as Maslow, Vygotsky, Piaget and Erickson. Their studies have shown that children learn best by doing and by offering your child extensive activities to learn and grow. This can help them experience improved emotional, cognitive, social and physical development.
The Fireflies curriculum aligns with Bright Beginning’s educational goals and objectives. Our teachers select daily activities to enhance growth and school readiness. Each teacher determines how this day care program is used in their particular setting.
Additionally, these daily activities provide learning opportunities for children with various developmental needs, experiences and cultures. Children are also provided opportunities for individual expression and are able to practice decision-making and problem-solving. Activities and assessment materials are aligned with early learning standards.
Through this carefully catered day care program, your child can build self-esteem and an enthusiasm for learning. We also encourage family members to be actively involved in their child’s learning.
